Time was nearly impossible to keep track of over there. I had to look at a calendar to realize we had been at sea for over 35 days. Vung Tau still sat far to the south and it would take a few days to get there. We headed into deep water for a rendezvous with the USS Goldsborough. We were to take on supplies from her at sea. She was a Guided Missle Destroyer also based out of Pearl. The supplies were transfered on a pallet via a line and pulley that was sent between the two ships. Taking on supplies at sea could mean only one thing...we were going to be on the water for awhile. We returned to the coast and continued our journey south.
