Ah, Hawaii what a great place. There was Diamond Head stretching like some giant serpent into the dark blue sea. It beckoned me to sail its waters and fight its fury. O.K., I had made my choice and had chosen my path. It was either be caught by the draft and live life in a foxhole or take my chances on a ship at sea. So, here I was. Would I leave tomorrow for the coast of Nam? It was time to leave. I must get to Pearl and begin he process of gathering information. I started towards the Market Place. The fun was over.
