The entrance fee to Bodie is $1.00. For $2.00 they will give you an information booklet, which contains a map of the town. If you buy the booklet you have purchased the self guided tour. It is well worth the two bucks for the booklet. The map on the inside serves as a guide through the towns many streets. On each page there is a brief history of each of the structures and information on the residents who once lived there. The Methodist Church was erected in 1882 and is the only remaining church in Bodie. It is one of the first buildings you come to as you walk down historic Green Steet.
