The next day I made my way down the Kingsbury Grade into the Carson Valley and connected with Hwy. 395 South. My final destination is Las Vegas via the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest in California's White Mountains and the Ghost Towns of Palmetto and Gold Point, Nevada. I captured this shot of Mono Lake from Vista Point, which lies on the down grade of Conway Summit in the Eastern Sierras.
